The privacy of your data is the fundamental principle of DOCU.expert. Unlike other AI chatbots, we have designed our architecture from the ground up to ensure that your documents never leave your control.
DOCU.expert offers two operating modes, each with different privacy features:
All processing happens on your computer. Documents never leave your device.
Processing on dedicated European servers. Optimal for devices without powerful GPUs.
LOCAL MODE
Documents are read directly from disk. They are not copied or sent to any server.
CLOUD MODE
Documents are encrypted with AES-256 before uploading and stored on EU servers.
LOCAL MODE
The embeddings model runs on your CPU/GPU. Vectors are stored in a local database.
CLOUD MODE
Processing occurs on dedicated EU servers. We do not use third-party services like OpenAI.
LOCAL MODE
The LLM runs locally. Neither the question nor the answer leave your computer.
CLOUD MODE
Queries are processed on our European servers. They are not shared with third parties.

In local mode, no. Your documents never leave your computer. In cloud mode, documents are encrypted and only you have the key. Technical staff does not have access to the content.
Your data in local mode remains on your computer. Data in the cloud is automatically deleted 30 days after cancellation, or you can request immediate deletion.
No. Your queries are private and are not shared with other users or used to improve public experts.
