DocuExpert allows authentication through multiple OAuth providers for greater flexibility and convenience.
Supported OAuth providers: Google, LinkedIn, and other providers we may add in the future. All OAuth providers are managed through our Keycloak authentication server (auth.codelabs.studio).
Account linking: If you use the same email across different OAuth providers (e.g., [email protected] on Google and LinkedIn), Keycloak automatically links both providers to the same user account. This means you will maintain access to your data, experts, and documents regardless of which provider you use to log in.
User responsibility: You are responsible for keeping your OAuth provider credentials secure. CODELABS.STUDIO does not store OAuth provider passwords, only encrypted access tokens that are automatically renewed.
Almacenamiento Local: DocuExpert is a desktop application that stores all documents and data locally on your device. Unlike cloud services, processed data remains resident on your Mac's hard drive at the location: ~/Library/Application Support/DocuExpert/
This means: (1) Your documents never leave your device (privacy), (2) You work completely offline, (3) Data persists after logging out, (4) The company cannot revoke access to already downloaded data.
DocuExpert does NOT send your documents to external servers. All documents are processed locally with on-device AI. For authentication and account management, we send: email, username (OAuth), device ID, subscription plan information, and aggregate usage metrics (without document content).
Responsabilidad del Usuario: THE USER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for: (1) Obtaining authorization from their company before indexing confidential corporate documents, (2) Complying with their organization's information security policies, (3) Using only on authorized devices (preferably personally owned), (4) Deleting corporate data upon termination of their employment relationship with the company.
Prohibiciones: The user MUST NOT use DocuExpert to: extract confidential company information without authorization, index documents protected by NDAs without explicit permission, transfer trade secrets to personal devices without authorization, circumvent corporate security policies (DLP, MDM, etc.), or use on corporate devices without IT department approval.
CODELABS.STUDIO (developer of DocuExpert): (1) Is NOT responsible for misuse of confidential corporate information by users, (2) CANNOT revoke access to data already stored locally on user devices, (3) Has NO control over what documents users index on their personal devices, (4) Is NOT responsible for violations of NDAs, trade secrets, or corporate policies by users.
The user agrees that CODELABS.STUDIO will not be liable for claims, losses, damages or costs arising from: unauthorized use of corporate information, violations of confidentiality agreements (NDAs), non-compliance with corporate security policies, unauthorized transfer of trade secrets, or any use of the application that violates local laws or employment contracts. THE USER SHALL INDEMNIFY CODELABS.STUDIO against any claims arising from their misuse of the application.
Plan Enterprise: For companies requiring centralized management and corporate security, we offer an Enterprise Plan (coming soon) with security features such as: Organizational workspaces (data on corporate server, not on device), centralized administrative control, remote access revocation, authorized device whitelist, audit logs, and data loss prevention (DLP). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Modifications will be communicated through:
Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Malaga, Spain, with the parties waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.
For consumers resident in the EU, this clause does not affect the rights granted to them by the consumer protection legislation of their country of residence.
